The quality of this model is outstanding and it was a pleasure to construct. I lost count of the number of nuts and bolts needed to complete construction. Some of the components are very small making the build a challenge with my large 70-year old hands. I did purchase this model to challenge me - it did! The instructions are a series of photographs and a few notes. You must read and digest the instructions carefully before plunging into the build. If a component looks out of alignment, then you have made a mistake. Carefully undo the parts that look incorrectly aligned, read the instructions again and try once more. It is very satisfying to work on a model like this. I will be looking for more. Recommended.
Really enjoyed this model. It came with the tools you need. Instructions are good and pretty straightforward. Finished model looks better than I thought it would.

Very challenging model. This is very well engineered but the instructions are a bit lacking in clarity. But if you read through them a couple of times before starting, it will help. The instructions have the claws assembled on top of the head of the scorpion. It is a very easy step to mount them under the head as my picture shows. I think this would be a bit challenging for younger people. It's also a bit challenging for people with larger hands. All in all, I found this scorpion to be a fun project that was challenging enough to be fun but not so challenging as to be frustrating.
I already have one of these, so I bought one for my friend. He was amazed at the beautiful packaging and is thoroughly enjoying its construction. Recommended.
