Mini Stirling Engine Micro Vertical Engine Model Engine Scientific Experiments
Features:
.What's Ringbom Stirling Engine? Ringbom engine is a unique Gamma-type engine. the displacer of a Ringbom Stirling is not driven by a mechanical linkage, but by gas pressure variations forces on a displacer piston rod within the engine because the piston is connected to a crankshaft. The Ringbom Stirling cycle engine is unique in that there is no mechanical connection to the displacer. The engine has only four moving parts. The Ringbom engine concept published in 1907 has no rotary mechanism or linkage for the displacer. Ringbom engines and the plans are very rare but now you can build a Ringbom engine of your own!
.Vertical modelling is delicate and beautiful, cabinet and exquisite .Reliable quality, piston and cold cylinder are made of metal, strong and durable; the heating head is quartz tube, which will not break under the instantaneous high temperature or cooling. .Exquisitely made, the parts are precision machined by CNC machine tools, with superior performance and easy disassembly .The surface has a bright color and smooth feel .Model are equipped with alcohol lamps, and a heating head and two wick .Simple and convenient to operate, when you got it, It takes just a little bit of alcohol to get it going, either as an experimental textbook or as a gift .By using this product, children can understand the starting principle of vertical Stirling engine, improve their hands-on ability, and deepen their interest in physics in the process of experiment. .When not being used, it can also be placed in the home as furnishings. .Suitble for people over 8 years old
The engine's operability is not very well designed.
The vertical configuration is nice and reduces friction but the flywheel is not balanced at all and the engine needs a lot of force to turn.
Too much force requires too much heating and heat dissipation is very poor. It's not just because it's vertical - even working lying down it also heats up a lot and stops after 3 minutes.
With an additional heatsink hugging the engine block, I can work for 10 minutes non-stop using 1 cm3 of 95% alcohol. The lamp is too big for this low consumption per operation.
Heat also passes to the cold zone because the displacer is hollow, the hot zone being separated from the cold zone only by a very thin wall.
