4. Has there been any testing on how this engine runs handling some load. Or how this engine holds up to prolonged revving at 20% - 45% - 75% - 100%.I guess the above questions are the gage how versatile this engine is against practicality.

A4: Yes, the Toyan V8 has undergone load condition tests. We are preparing videos to showcase its performance under different loads, including use in vehicles and power applications. Stirlingkit will also assist in demonstrating its practical capabilities.


5. What’s the cubic capacity of it?

A5: The Toyan V8 engine has a displacement of 28cc, calculated as 3.5cc per cylinder across its 8 cylinders.


6. Will it be available in the aluminum color in the future?

A6: Currently, the Toyan V8 engine is available in a classic red and black design. Future plans include releasing versions in aluminum silver, blue, and black-silver. But I think the other color option will take much more longer time to wait.


7. Ignition timing, opening timing of the intake and exhaust valves in degrees of crankshaft angle, compression pressure, fuel consumption per minute at different engine speeds, maximum surface temperature on the cylinder cover, exhaust gas temperature?

8. Will there be a gearbox and clutch system for the engine?

9. Is there a dyno sheet? Durability testing? How hard is it to mount in, say, a Rovan Baja? Why are they not sold with the full ignition system in the box? I honestly like that last question. It’s useless as anything but a doorstop without support hardware. Mmmhm. Even my solution of 'throw 8 OS G5 glow plugs in it and run it like a glow engine' requires spending additional money beyond the initial purchase even if it's less than what they charge for the CDI system.

17. Why don’t they make a decent sized v8 of around 120cc something that can actually be used and put some sort of a load on it as opposed to sounding like a buzz bomb

The video shows an engineering prototype, which is completely different from the carburetor used in the previous generation V8 engine. The carburetor of the actual shipping version has some upgrades and improvements, please refer to the sales display pictures.The vent under the oil pan is used to discharge exhaust gas and waste oil. Just make sure to add a little oil to the gasoline fuel to ensure sufficient lubrication to ensure that the machine will not be easily worn during operation.

49.What is the initial value and setting method of the carburetor oil needle?

A: To set the carburetor oil needle:

  1. Main Oil Needle:
    • Turn the main oil needle clockwise to the bottom (fully tightened).
    • Then, back it out counterclockwise by 3 turns.
  2. Auxiliary Oil Needle:
    • Turn the auxiliary oil needle clockwise until it enters the injector nozzle about 1.2mm.

Warnings:

  • Do not over-tighten the oil needles, as this can damage the needle or carburetor.
  • Check fuel mixture after adjustments to ensure proper performance and prevent engine damage.
  • Do not exceed the recommended setting values, as this may lead to poor engine performance or excessive fuel consumption.
  • Always ensure that the carburetor is clean and properly installed before making adjustments.

50.What are the steps to start the engine?

(1) Connect the oil circuit and pump oil until fuel flows out of the oil return pipe.
(2) Press the start button and lightly block the carburetor air port. Release it after the engine is filled with oil.
(3) Observe the engine operation and gradually increase the throttle.
(4) If the engine cannot start, check the ignition, timing, cylinder pressure and valve clearance.

51.What are the maintenance methods for the Toyan V8 engine?

 For proper maintenance of the Toyan V8 engine:

  1. Fuel and Oil: It is recommended to use 92# or higher gasoline and 2T engine oil, with a fuel-to-oil ratio of 30:1.
  2. Maintenance Interval: Perform maintenance every 50 to 100 hours of use, which includes:
    • Disassembly of key components.
    • Cleaning parts to remove dirt and debris.
    • Replacement of any worn-out parts to ensure the engine continues to run smoothly.

These steps will help maintain the engine's performance and extend its lifespan.

52.Will the crankshaft break again?

The Toyan V8 crankshaft features a one-piece, five-point supported 90° cross design, which is strengthened and hardened to prevent breakage. This robust construction greatly reduces the likelihood of the shaft breaking. However, like any mechanical part, it could still be affected by factors such as excessive stress, improper installation, or inadequate maintenance. As long as the crankshaft is correctly installed and properly maintained, it should be durable and resistant to breakage.

53.What should I do if the piston ring cannot enter the cylinder liner normally?

The piston ring needs to be installed with a tool, and the clearance is 0.1mm. If it cannot be installed, please take a video to prove it, and we will reissue a new piston ring.

54.What should I do if the belt breaks easily?

If the belt breaks, we will reissue an upgraded belt for free. Subsequent purchases will be directly equipped with an upgraded belt.

55.What should I do if the bolt holes in the master cylinder body are poorly tapped?

It is recommended to use an M4 tap to re-tap. If the problem is serious, please take a photo and contact us, and we will help solve it.

56.Does the TOYAN V8 engine offer any accessories for modification?

We plan to launch the following modification accessories:
1. Upgraded intake and exhaust manifold/muffler
2. Clutch
3. Gearbox
4. Base fuel tank kit
5. Supercharger/turbocharger
6. Air filter/oil filter
7. External oil pump system

57.Why does the Toyan V8 engine's crankshaft appear to have runout?  

A: The Toyan V8 engine is designed with intentional clearance, which may cause a slight apparent deviation when not under load, but it returns to normal during operation. Additionally, when testing the crankshaft runout, both ends must be clamped; otherwise, parallelism cannot be ensured, leading to measurement errors. If only one end is clamped, misjudgment may occur. It is recommended to clamp both ends for a more accurate measurement.

 

58. Will the exhaust headers be offered as a separate purchase for possible use on other engines? 

Yes, all parts, including the exhaust headers, can be purchased separately. Please feel free to contact us directly for more information or to place an order.
