In the field of model internal combustion engines, two-stroke engines once dominated. They are widely used in RC aircraft models, helicopters, car models and other fields because of their small size, light weight and flexibility. However, two-stroke engines inherently have some drawbacks, such as high fuel consumption, imperfect lubrication systems, noise, and environmental pollution. These disadvantages force us to look for superior alternatives. Twenty years ago, as a hobbyist with a passion for model building, I decided to devote my career to building four-stroke engines. Four-stroke engines offer greater fuel efficiency and sustainability while reducing noise and environmental pollution by overcoming the weaknesses of two-stroke engines. They have a more complete lubrication system that reduces internal friction and wear by separating lubricant and fuel.
We have launched many excellent engine models in the past, including single-cylinder, twin-cylinder and V8. However, two years ago, I first launched an inline four-cylinder engine, and some users encountered problems with crankshaft breakage due to design flaws. Although I later improved the design to avoid this problem, the ill effects of that incident had a profound impact on our brand. I would like to apologize again to our customers who trust our brand. It was these challenges and failures that fueled my determination to move forward and made me realize that building engines requires a higher degree of care. These setbacks prompted me to delve deeper into studying, refining, and perfecting the inline four-cylinder engine.
I originally built engine models so that engine enthusiasts around the world could have fun with this technology. However, after launching more than a dozen engine models, the inline four-cylinder engine model has become our most popular product, not only because of its design and appearance, but also because of its powerful performance. We heard some feedback from people asking: “Why is Toyan engine so expensive?”, “Is this palm-sized engine really worth the price?”, “I like your brand, but can’t afford it”, “I Being a student, I longed to own an engine model but couldn’t afford it”. So, from that point on, I decided that I wanted to come up with an affordable in-line four-cylinder engine model in kit form.
After a year of hard work and countless tests, I finally achieved this goal!
First of all, the inline four-cylinder engine has a simple, compact structure and excellent balance, making it very suitable for 1:5 or 1:8 small remote control car applications. I believe that by continuing to improve this design, we can provide more powerful and efficient power solutions to the miniature model world.
Secondly, the FS-L400G model inline four-cylinder engine can be used with gasoline or methanol fuel. For gasoline, we will test two ignition schemes, one is the cdi ignition scheme and the other is the distributor ignition scheme, which means that only Adding a single-cylinder CDI and four ignition heads ensures efficient and reliable ignition control. This design enables the engine to maintain stable operation under various operating conditions.
In addition, the use of a belt-driven system helps improve performance and reliability, while the exhaust pipe manufactured using 3D printing technology can be precisely designed and manufactured to optimize exhaust flow to the greatest extent and improve engine efficiency.
What needs special attention is that in order to dispel everyone's concerns, we have completely redesigned the crankshaft structure and selected titanium steel as the material of the crankshaft. Its current toughness is extraordinary. And we added a shaft diameter support sleeve to the crankshaft so that it will not break under heavy load. To ensure the quality and reliability of the engine. This design aims to minimize the size while providing sufficient support and stability to ensure engine reliability.
I know how much your support and belief in this inline four-cylinder engine means to me. To express my gratitude, I plan to take some important steps.
First, I intend to make this engine very affordable to ensure that more model enthusiasts can afford this great engine and enjoy its exceptional performance.
Second, I plan to continue to offer this engine as a knock-down piece, giving you the opportunity to assemble the engine yourself and gain a deeper understanding of its appeal.

Why Toyan Makes a FS-L400G Inline Four Engine Kits This Year?
I had the same problem with my rotary engine and when I contacted Toyan I was told that it was my fault because I had force started the engine, what an insult! Nothing was done to resolve the issue so I had to buy a new set of rotor tips and springs I reassembled the engine with great care and it started and ran great However I sold the engine shortly after because I was concerned about the reliability of it and the reluctance of the manufacturer to help me if any more problems occurred, because of this I still don’t trust Toyan and I don’t know if I will ever buy another engine from them mainly because of their attitude and denial that the engine was faulty from the outset.
Hello, I don’t know who “you” are. You keep using the pronoun “I” but we don’t have a name. The original L400 engine was a disaster. There were so many crankshaft failures documented that the trust in Toyan was almost destroyed. To help regain confidence in your company you must provide some sort of compensation to those of us that purchased the first L400 engines. And let’s not forget the horrible rotary engine abomination that “you” engineered recently. Those Toyan Wankel engines are complete garbage. Yes, one can be forced to run but what’s the good in that? The rotary needs a complete redesign and closer tolerances AND improved cooling. In its current configuration both the single and twin rotor engines are nothing but expensive paperweights. I have both and also the practical OS/Graupner Wankel engines. The OS operates correctly because it was engineered properly. Why couldn’t “you” have more closely replicated the details OS have successfully employed? I will make my Toyan rotary engines run correctly but much care will be required. Thank you.
