What's Ringbom Stirling Engine?
Ringbom engine is a unique Gamma-type engine. the displacer of a Ringbom Stirling is not driven by a mechanical linkage, but by gas pressure variations forces on a displacer piston rod within the engine because the piston is connected to a crankshaft. The Ringbom Stirling cycle engine is unique in that there is no mechanical connection to the displacer. The engine has only four moving parts. The Ringbom engine concept published in 1907 has no rotary mechanism or linkage for the displacer. Ringbom engines and the plans are very rare but now you can build a Ringbom engine of your own!
