Caractéristiques:
Simulation d'un moteur de voiture à trois roues/tricycle : les cylindres horizontaux et le grand volant d'inertie soulignent le charme de ce moteur, basé sur le premier prototype de moteur de voiture. L'avantage de ce modèle réside dans sa conception structurelle ingénieuse, chaque composant reproduisant les principes mécaniques. Ce modèle entièrement métallique est entièrement fonctionnel, démarrable et utilisable.
Fabrication de haute qualité : Le moteur est entièrement moulé avec précision, chaque pièce étant soigneusement travaillée. Le contour du bloc-cylindres et des autres pièces moulées est très astucieux, ce qui constitue la caractéristique principale du premier moteur de voiture. Vous ressentirez le charme unique du fonctionnement mécanique du moteur.
Étapes de démarrage :
1. Vérifiez les fils du moteur sur le socle en bois et connectez-les au tuyau du réservoir de carburant. Installez ensuite trois piles AA (4,5 V).
2. Remplissez le réservoir d'essence 95#. Après avoir ajouté le carburant, faites tourner le volant moteur situé sur le côté droit du moteur (sur la surface du contacteur d'allumage) dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre pendant plusieurs tours afin de permettre le passage complet du mélange dans le cylindre. Assurez-vous qu'il n'y a pas d'air dans le tuyau d'alimentation.
3. Allumez l'interrupteur d'alimentation, puis tournez rapidement le volant (sur la surface de l'interrupteur d'alimentation) dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre pour démarrer le moteur.
Remarques :
1. Dans le dispositif d'allumage, si la machine ne démarre pas avec la compression normale du cylindre, vous devez régler l'aiguille du carburateur.
2. Serrez l'aiguille principale du carburateur, desserrez le quart de cycle et tournez le volant pour vous assurer que le rapport de mélange d'essence et d'air atteint la normale.
3. Lorsque la machine s'arrête de fonctionner, éteignez l'interrupteur d'alimentation.

Stirlingkit has done it yet again, with their R18 Vintage 1886 Benz Motorwagen engine
I ordered my R18 immediately after it went on sale. I had seen videos Stirlingkit had posted showing the upcoming R18, and was really excited about owning one.
From the time I ordered my engine to the time I got my ship notification, I was really impressed at how fast Stirlingkit got these engine produced and shipped out; I had thought it would have taken quite a bit longer for the engines to start shipping, but it was extremely quick.
When my engine arrived, it was packed safe and secure. What a beautifully made & detailed scale working model… The quality is unreal! My R18 came with an easy to follow instruction sheet, spare piston & slide valve O rings, and a starting wheel to use in a cordless drill for starting.
I chose to use Coleman camping fuel mixed w’ a bit of marvel mystery oil, and as well used marvel oil for the oiling cups. Three AA batteries are used for the ignition power.
Right out of the box, my R18 started easily without touching the carburetor - The carb is an air bleed type, and not a throttle, so once the needle is fine tuned, ‘set it and forget it’ Using the starting wheel is easy; the drill rotates counterclockwise which turns the R18 flywheel clockwise. Once I did a little a little fine tuning, I no longer used the drill to start the R18; rotate to right before the compression stroke, and a quick spin of the flywheel and the R18 comes to life. I’ve ran my engine for quite a few hours already, and it’s proved to be very reliable and starts immediately. It’s fun to watch all of it moving parts working in unison to make a beautiful exhaust sound.
Really happy that Stirlingkit decided to produce and offer this little precision engine to modelers all over the world… it will definitely be one of their best sellers and impress anyone who owns one.
I received my R18 motor. Serviced it and it starts perfect every time with my finger. After awhile it started leaking water into the combustion chamber. Can't figure out how to get "O" rings for it... Very bummed, can't play with my motor anymore. I wrote Stirling kit several times but never got a response.
The incredible Benz model engine is a benchmark. Being able to mass produce an engine that uses a slide valve is amazing. CMW
A very nicely cast and manufacturered engine. It started right away but the cooling isn't adequate for longer than 5-6 minutes of running. I remade the carb with a much smaller venturi and it idles and runs much better. I would say it's well worth the money.
